Behold our treasures: the majestic spires of Westminster and the timeless face of Big Ben, the rolling green hills of the Cotswolds and the dramatic coasts of Cornwall; the words of Shakespeare that define the human soul, the music of Elgar, the Beatles, and Adele that stirs hearts everywhere; the Industrial Revolution born in our mills and mines, the NHS that cares for all, the perfect cuppa with biscuits, fish and chips wrapped in newspaper, and a Sunday roast that brings families together.

We are the folk of village greens and bustling cities, of queuing patiently and apologising even when it's not our fault; we gather for afternoon tea, cheer at Wimbledon and the Ashes, wave the Union Jack with pride at the Last Night of the Proms, sing Jerusalem and Rule Britannia with full voice, and mark Remembrance Day with solemn poppies on our lapels.
